Howdy, wonderful people!

Styled after the Workshop Trays these tubs are taller and set up for mounting on vertical surfaces!  Thanks to the keyhole-style mounting holes on the back, the tubs can be hung on mounting brackets.  However, the tubs have no protruding parts, so they'll still sit together nicely on a bench, and they're all the same height as three stacked Workshop Trays, just for neatness :)

Current Tub Designs

There are a couple of versions:

* Wide tub

* Narrow tub (half the width)

* A wide tub divided into sections

* A wide tub with the front open, to function more like a shelf.

Keyholes and Brackets

The mounting slots in the back of the tubs prints without supports, and doesn't require any part to protrude, which might otherwise get in the way of these things being up against a wall or just bunched together neatly.

The slots are designed to accept a mounting bracket hook, and that hook design is intended to be printable in any of three orientations, to allow for different mounting hook and plate designs!  It'll print neatly on its back, like in the mounts below, as well as angled forwards at 90 degrees.

It'll also print on its side, as seen in the 18mm Loop Hook mount that I've completely neglected to include in the image below!  You'll see it on dropbox, though :)

In case you hadn't guessed, the boxes and hooks are dimensioned so that the double hook mounts will support either one wide tub or two narrow tubs!

Lids!

Yes, there are  lids!  Someone always asks about lids if I neglect to include lids :)

Print Description

Normal mode print, nothing crazy here!  Infill can be very low on this and it'll be just fine.

Print Dimensions

Wide tub is the largest model, and is 54mm x 160mm on the bed and 97mm tall.

Supports needed?

No supports required!

Scalability

Easy!  If you scale it substantially, though, you might need to adjust the scale on the mounting hooks slightly up or down to account for the tolerances built into the models.

Print Orientation

Tubs print right way up, like in this image I'll repeat from above:

(ignore the one that's lying down, it's just having a rest)

File location

You'll find this one on Dropbox at 684 Hanging Workshop Tubs

Further Thoughts

I've had lots of feedback on further options for the stacking workshop trays, and I'm sure it'll be similar for these when people come up with specific uses!  There'll be an update at some point in the near-ish future with a bunch of those.  Keep the feedback coming! :)

Happy printing!

xoxo

Thank you.

These are awesome. Would it be possible for the mounting brackets to have recessed areas for magnets instead of screw holes?

Those are clean! Would you consider doing a pegboard version?
