Hey there, wonderful people!

Vase mode time!  This ornate bowl originated from exploring a round version of the Flurry Vase from not-so-long-ago.  I constructed various protrusions and fins and wings and at one stage chopped it all back to a simpler form which I turned out to like much better anyway.

After some prodding and poking that form turned into what you see before you: a zigzaggy bowl that holds quite some rigidity thanks to the bracing provided by both the angular grooves and the curved vertical profile.

Printing Tips

This is a vase mode print, so set your slicer accordingly!  Nothing tricky here, all the angles are intended for neat and easy printing.  As you'd expect, the Imperial Bowl prints right-way-up:

Print Dimensions

The Imperial Bowl occupies 120mm x 120mm on the print bed and is 75mm tall.

File Locations

You'll find this one on dropbox under 717 Imperial Bowl

Further Thoughts

I must admit that even after all these years I still love watching vase mode in action.  There's just something great about watching that outline trace around and around, revealing patterns and shapes as it goes...

Happy vase mode printing! :)
