Hey there, my favourite people!

Vase mode time!  This one's textured and flexy and based on the thought of having vase mode elements that overlap each other.  I'm not sure quite how accurately "overlap" describes this end result, especially with the curled-out ends that jostle past each other and sweep outwards, however!

The vertical divisions between columns of sweepy, wavy bits are just smooth vertical lines which is what provides the flexibility.  There was some temptation to add texture and make it all a little more rigid but it seemed a shame to lose that nice, tactile aspect :)

Printing Tips

This is a vase mode print, so set your slicer accordingly!

All the angles (both upward and downward) are designed for neat vase mode printing, and as you'd guess it prints base-down like so:

Print Dimensions

The Flurry Vase occupies 115mm x 115mm on the print bed and is 153mm tall.

However, it's a vase mode print and you can try scaling it up or down without too much concern! :)

Further Thoughts

This model almost turned into a ball rather than a cylinder, mostly because it would be interesting to try scaling those sweepy waves into larger forms so that they still interact with their neighbours.  I'm not sure it'll look as neat as the nice, vertical lines of the Flurry Vase, but it's an interesting thought...

I agree, I love how whimsical this looks, I'd love to see you attempt the ball shape!
