This was a commission for Reversalmushroom on Tumblr

Was a bit of a struggle getting this one done. I had a different idea in mind originally, but had a ton of stress and freaking out trying to finish a sketch I felt satisfied with, but in the end I went for a different approach and managed to come up with something I was happy with.

Her mane is... interesting to draw XD

So then I decided hey, she's a villain from a comic book, maybe I'll actually use CSP's tone pattern capabilities and draw cel shading but with tone patterns. (Then made a cel shade base first just to get the mask, but ended up combining them to help create a perfect look)

And then I discovered something I shouldn't have; that I can convert images to tone patterns (Learn something new about CSP every day!) and well, the rest was me getting way too carried away XD

The chat I share with my friends was an interesting process too XD
"Wow, doesn't this shading look spooky? Hmmm something's missing though... *gasp* Wait! There. Light source UNDER the face. done."
I think that it goes against the light source everywhere else just makes it even better.

Anyway, I'm not used to drawing villains, but I am quite happy with how deranged I managed to get this looking hehe.
