metro just dropped his 'version' of the album with different tracklist sequencing which I personally think would've made me enjoy the album a lot more off first listen. but there's also a couple new tracks on metro's version which got features from nicki and juicewrld, would be sick if y'all checked those 2 out

This album's lows were definitely lower than Gunna's, Gucci Grocery Bag and Money On The Dresser were awful. But I thought Gunna's project was extremely mediocre, obviously you're not going to him for lyrics, he talked about his pain but I don't think he did it particularly well. Production was very mediocre as well, and his flows/cadence/melodies had very little variety for 15 songs. All the hits sound similar, and are good to great at best. On the other hand, I feel like this album had a lot more variety, and had several highlights that were better than any song off Gunna's (Cars Bring Me Out, Wit Da Racks, Uncle M, Oh U Went, Want Me Dead, Mad Dog, Jonesboro). I definitely agree that the album is carried by the production and features, but at the end of the day, the music is more enjoyable to me. You could argue that Gunna's performance was consistently better than Thug's on their projects, but again, Thug's high points are better than Gunna's. Never see myself going back to a Gunna project, at least Thug is able to be more interesting with this voice/experimentation and create hits that sound different from each other and are truly amazing. Gunna's is a 4 for me, Thug's is a 6.5 out of 10.

Dead ass, and Im far from the only one with that opinion. Among reviewers, NFR, Jon Denton, and at least on Gunna, Fantano, among others

I mean aight thats y'all. Gunna project is better imo and I will for sure listen to it more than Young Thug's one. I don't need reactors and reviewers to validate my sentiment.

Maadhav

Of course not, seemed like you needed it to validate mine tho so I offered it up

My guy is personally offended you disliked Gunna's project. I feel you though, I'm not the biggest fan of either artist. "Hoodie" was my favorite track on the Thug album and people seem to hate that track the most. It was the only one where I could just play it in the background and vibe without getting annoyed though
