Okay, imma break this down best I can for y’all: Just like y’all said, each person is a different persona/album/era for Tyler. It was Bastard (Tommy shirt), Goblin (Green mask), Wolf (Wolf hat), Cherry Bomb (pink face), Flower Boy (Flowers), Igor (Blonde Wig&Suit), CMIYGL (Front), and Tyler’s true/naked self without the shirt. It’s mainly his purest form speaking at first because that is who is apologizing for his ways. He’s being vulnerable and 100% himself going into this new era, which is why this particular person is killing off his other personas. He wants to rid himself of them and their baggage. Imma make a second comment with certain lines that match up with the eras.

-All of the lines about being wealthy and living lavishly are said by CMIYGL because that album was his most braggadocious. “A bank account could never touch my worth” or “But these diamonds shinning brighter than a black man’s plight, imma make it right” plays so well into that era and album because he addresses the wealth he’s acquired as well as his views on the BLM movement. -Igor was hidden in the back because it was an album where he spoke on his feelings and a relationship failure. He’s not big on talking about his feelings, so it’s almost as if he hid that side of him the whole video. -Flower Boy connects to the “sorry to the guys I had to hide” which is why he raps that line. That particular album is what sparked public debate about Tyler’s sexuality because of the hints he dropped into songs and lyrics. FB is also in the back due to how sensitive it is. -Cherry Bomb was his most polarizing album because he was going through a transitional period from the wild Tyler everyone knew to the more softer and creative Tyler. That’s why the camera pans to Cherry Bomb on the “not to not explore and stay the same” line which came directly after CMIYGL saying “what you think I work for?” -Wolf was an era that followed a storyline of Tyler’s alter egos “Wolf, Ace, Sam, TC” etc. Tyler has said specifically in an interview that his Wolf alter ego is the stage version of him. Wolf is not afraid to wild out and transform when needed, which is why it switched to him on the “you put me on a stage, I’ll show you the difference” line. -Goblin was obviously the outspoken and unapologetic era. This was after all of the backlash from Bastard era, and he came back swinging at all the critics. It’s pretty apparent why Goblin raps all of the lines he does in the song in opposition to the matured Tyler (CMIYGL) that officially made it to “success.” The Goblin side of him doesn’t want to apologize for finally making it. -Bastard is his origin era. The most untamed and free-of-influencers Tyler. How content on that album was some of the most controversial, which he received backlash for, but he was confident enough to stand on everything he did and said as an angsty teen. This is why the line “I’m sorry I’m pretentious. Sorry that the talent, knowledge, passion isn’t missing. Sorry when I talk my shit, and I could back it up with confidence.” This was a lot, but it explains everything as well as I could understand.
