The tonal dissonance between the text and visuals of this page was already pointed out and meme'd on by the group chat. I usually have a friend proofreading my scripts before drawing comics but since he hasn't played the game despite my continuous insistence... Consider this page like an offkey note in a song.

With that out of the way...

During my first playthrough of the game, I liked to interact with every robot I came across (and hit them for good measure) Just to see what they had to say. It quickly became evident that there was this running joke of how badly the Vandelay robots were being treated by the bosses. And I was expecting to see a full-on uprising with robot riots and guillotines before the game was over. I was really looking forward to the pandemonium that was coming...

...Except... it never came.

The robots just kinda sat there and took it. They never rebelled, never got angry. They just... waited for someone else to come and fix the issue. We can assume that they were treated better with Roxanne's return. But it was sort of swept under the rug, forgotten about... Not even the fandom had a second thought to spare for the Vandelay staff. Their sole focus was the human characters. Always the humans. (As far as I have seen anyway)

Despite how obvious and in your-face the bad guy and its motivations are, not a single theory even touched on the possibility that there could simply be one robot that wanted some mcfuckin' payback for all the abuse.

And unluckily for Chai, it had to be the worst robot of them all.

Kale lucked out by committing explosion. Cause had the gang not come for him first, it would have been V1-RS . That might actually make for a nice bonus comic...

But of course...Kale's dead. All the bosses are dead. So why is V1-RS still big mad? Why is it after Chai and his gang? Shouldn't it actually be grateful to them for taking care of the people that mistreated everyone? A question for a later time...
