Total progress since starting the comic on 15/05/2022 : 40 panels

Total time worked so far: 44 hours and 40 minutes

--

It's hard to accurately track time because my laptop frequently crashes, leaving both my work and time tracker disturbed. Nevertheless, despite health and hardware issues I've almost soldiered my way through the second week. I still have one page to finish before Monday but I figured I'd update Patreon now before going back to that.

I've done some test readings with different people and sadly most of them didn't understand what was going on.  So, I decided to add some dialogue to clarify.  I much prefer to "show don't tell" but I can't get too experimental with this project as it will be judged in a contest. It's not like grisly where I can go as niche as I like. Vigil needs to be enjoyable to a normie audience and not just myself.

Physically things didn't go stellar this week. I used to be able to work 4-5 hours without break and now I can barely go half an hour without having to stop to recover.  I'll have to permanently change my workflow in order to avoid future issues. It's not too dramatic though, I still finished many panels despite slowing down. And I'm feeling slightly better compared to last week.

Thank you for listening to my rambles.

Back to work I go!

They are looking really good! Keep that up! I’m curious what other things are gonna be there as you show more of the world you crafted. For the Wordless panels though, I believe that’s mostly a thing due too little panels/context being available right now. If the Series may have had 20 pages already, then it would be easier to have some gasp of the world itself. And now, even with dialogue, there is only so much of the world we have seen.. I think the determining factor really is just the length of the comic. I hope you will be able to recover to your usual schedule as times goes by!

Oh my!! I feel rather shamed for not being able to read this lovely project when you first started uploading it!! I really adore the compositions, the colours, the poses, the world and the designs! It is freshing to see more of your other projects seeing the light of day! I still wish you good luck with your current projects, and with your plans regarding Grisly Tales
