Greetings everyone, November's build is here! I'm releasing it a bit earlier compared to last month so I can start working on some of the bigger changes coming up.

  • Dialog was added for existing events: Encountering Slime King, Defeating Slime King, Collecting the soul gem and returning to town after completing the mission.
  • A scene was added where Ash reports to the Warlock master before hero goes to bed.
  • Two bonus scenes were added to the back alley that are only triggered after certain events have progressed.
  • Save data from 0.4 should still be compatible.
  • Added the goblin preview to the Animation Viewer.

Note: I include Mac and Linux versions but I cannot test or offer technical support for these versions. Keyboard Controls:

  • WASD or Arrow keys to move
  • Space for Jump
  • Left Shift for Special Action(ie "Crouching" used with the slime form)
  • Left Ctrl for Dash
  • Q for character screen (Class, Equipment)
  • E for item quick menu (outside battle)
  • ESC for game options menu(only quit game for now)

Debug hotkeys may cause sequence breaks and game stopping bugs, use with caution.

If you don't want to play through the whole dungeon again to watch the scene with Ash, go into your bedroom and hit F2.

The shortcut to Lukka's scene is F7 while in the bedroom.

  • F2 (While in the dungeon) plays a secret scene with Ash
  • F4 Skip scene, can skip through dialogue and scenes
  • F8  (While in the dungeon) Skip to final boss (hit esc and resume to unlock after using)

Controller can be used but it might be a little buggy right now (The selection cursor may disappear, use the mouse to select something again) See the input tab when you run the game for more options.

The game's getting better and better. The quality of animations and art is really good! A couple of things to make it more comfortable to play - maybe you could show an animation back frame/bar at the top and bottom when a scene animation is happening and clicks don't do anything (like, interaction from user is not expected). When a scene ends, sometimes there is like 3-5 sec unnecessary delay. Also, the left mouse button is user for both - normal interaction and attack - kind of strange.

Great stuff as usual! But, the only issue was I was a little confused because I couldn't figure out what trigger's the second alley scene. Other than that, looking forward to the forest!

I don't know how visible these comments are but there's a few bugs near the end of the current content where things aren't quite solidified. You have to sleep with Ash or Lukka for the game to register that you've progressed to the next day in order to open up the last back alley scene.

Thanks for the feedback! Hmm... maybe I should try moving attack or interact to right click? I have to consider how it'll work on a controller as well.

Yes I did that, I got the 'stranger' scene but not a second 🤔

Stranger scene is the second one. The first one happens after getting the new armor but before meeting Ash at the gate!

Finally getting a chance to play through this, main input so far is 1 I still wish it had controller support, and 2 that the skills had a little box telling you what they did

Are you unable to play it with a controller? Which controller do you have? The game works pretty well with my xbox controller but I haven't tested on anything else yet. Also I know the UI needs a lot of little quality of life improvements but they just haven't been high priority yet. The oncoming expansion of skills is going to force the issue soon.
