2023 Art and Summary (Patreon)

Another year of drawing, huh? People say time flies, but this stuff feels like it was done an eternity ago looking at this. I probably drew more this year than I ever have before, and most of the time it felt pretty good to do so.

This was a big year in a lot of ways. I'm not sure if I improved much on a technical level, but I feel like my art may be a bit more refined; at the very least, I'm not struggling as hard. Starting this Patreon was a huge step forward for me as an artist as well. I was very nervous about it, but I think I've reached a good place with it mentally to a degree. I still need to put a lot more work into it, but I'm closer to being sustainable with art as a career than I've ever been. 

Of course, I'm also still grappling with tons of anxiety about my career as an artist being hopeless. I try to push through it, but its very easy to get anxious and demotivated these days. Regardless, I will continue to try my hardest. and am super happy that so many of you choose to support in many ways.

As for 2024, my main goal is gonna be to focus on comics; both short and long form. I wanna explore the comic medium more. I feel like there's a lot I can do with it, and the response to the comics I've done so far has been pretty good. I learned a lot about making them this year, so I'm sure I can push them even further in 2024.

Regardless, thank you so much for all the kinds words and support you guys have given me throughout my career. I realize I am in a much more fortunate position than many artists, and I don't take that granted. I want to keep making content you guys can enjoy and I can enjoy making. I also want to support other creatives in their own endeavors as well. I believe this world will be a lot better if we all explore our own creative visions!
