Tbh I don’t think Damon should be or is surprised that Elena misses being human. She hated vampirism in s1, said she never wanted to be a vampire in season 2, 3 and 4. I’m glad that they picked that back up again this season.

We know from Kai that siphoners considered freaks of nature by the Gemini coven and effectively socially outcasts from birth because of it. And Jo said the heretics were on their way to kill the Gemini Coven when they were stopped so those people really do create their own enemies LMFAO

To be fair Stefan didn't want to go to karaoke. he technically lost the bet to Caroline. and that was why they were at the bar the whole time. Too bad we didn't get to hear Stefan's idea of having fun. cuz it was all Caroline wanted to do it.

I love the scene with Stefan and his mom with flashbacks of Damon telling her what to say. It shows how much Damon loves Stefan and how well he knows him. The brothers really are the heart of this show. Also, I thought the acting in that scene with Stefan turning his humanity back on was great too! I appreciate the corniness of the karaoke scene! They have showed vampires turning off their humanity in several different ways. I feel like the tone this time was meant to be more of a caricature.

It’s so sick that on both TVD and The Originals they’re at a batch of 3 really good episodes and we have to wait a week between each 😩
