Happy Friday! I’ve been wondering how can I get more people to see my art but I kind of have no idea lately. Aside from just having to get better, I’m not sure what I can do on the very few social media sites available since their algorithms have been so unreliable especially when a trend isn’t being chased. Maybe I’ll figure things out. Anyway I hope you all have a nice weekend. Enjoy the Yunyun love!

Great question. tbh when I’ve been able to ask successful independent artists how they made it, when it came to following trends they viewed it as a necessary evil. They described it as a “Come for the X, stay for the Y” situation and the people searching the tag would spot their art, check out their profile and like what they see. They talked about making a split between one for the public, one for their fans and one for themselves, and would adjust the ratios as needed. It’s hardly the whole story of getting reach online, but I do remember that conversation fairly well.
