See a timelapse of every nation that hosted and participated from the modern day Summer Olympics. ➤ Support this channel with my Patreon!: https://www.patreon.com/emperortigerstar NOTES: Technically participated: 1908 - 1912: Australia and New Zealand participated as a joint team "Australasia". 1948 - 1952: Austria is participating even though the country is currently divided into four occupation zones. 1956 - 1964: West and East Germany were a joint Germany team. 1980: Several nations sympathetic to the boycott participated under a generic Olympic banner. 1984 - Present: Taiwan/ROC participates as "Chinese Taipei". 1992: The former Soviet nations compete as a single team. 2021: Russia as a nation is banned from the olympics, but Russian athletes are able to participate on a generic Olympic team.
