Update (Patreon)

I have some unfortunate news. I will be canceling this Nori and Zin episode I was working on the side of episode 1 and I don't have any desire/plans of finishing it. I naively thought I could work on two episodes at a time up until school came along of which I barely had time to work on the first.

That isn't the only reason though. I hate to admit it, but I just don't like this episode in general. I feel like the writing and story could have had more time in the oven before storyboarding started. I felt like I was obligated to finish it because all the lines were already voiced and I animated the first scene. It started to put me under a lot of stress to work on it even though I was already stressed out from working on episode 1 and I was going through a lot of burnout which has escalated from school. I put this project on the back burner for months and haven't worked on it since the last animated shot update I posted months ago. The year is already almost half over and I still haven't finished animating the first episode yet which already makes me feel bad.

That doesn't mean the whole rest of the show is canceled or anything. I'm still working on episode 1 to this day despite everything and still plan on making Nori and Zin into a show with more content and episodes (I plan on posting updates for it soon), but I just bit off more than I could chew by working on two episodes at once. I'll just be working on episodes one at a time from now on. That at least gives me more time to come up with better stories for upcoming episodes that I actually like. The episode was originally going to be called "Nori and Zin - Blind Boxes". I might revisit the gachapon idea in the future since I have a soft spot for them personally, but this execution didn't serve it justice.

As of right now, I'll be posting what I have completed of the episode on here for now. I don't know if I want to post it publicly or not.
