Behold, fresh off the scanner, here are a quartet of Bubblegum Crisis-related con sketches from the thrilling yesteryears of 1992 through 1994. I scanned these from rather crappy photocopies, so the repro quality is rather less than ideal; nonetheless, I think you can just barely make out that all of 'em were, I believe, drawn on the linen-finish paper I favored for con sketches back in the day.

The first piece, clearly commissioned at A-Kon in Texas, features Largo from the original Bubblegum Crisis OAV series' episode 6 (Red Eyes) facing off with Gally/ Alita from Gunmm/ Battle Angel Alita:

Note the bonus Shampoo from Ranma 1/2 in feline form holding up the sign at bottom. Golly!

Next up, a trio of more straightforward images of hardsuited BGC heroines:

Oddly, the '92 piece worked out better than the next year's Priss:

Can't win 'em all, folks; whoops!

And finally, ol' Sylia:

"Konya wa hurricane," indeed!

NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: No idea, TBH, but something should be coming up in the next M/W/F slot. Let's find out together, shall we?

I'm hearing Priss and the Replicants right now...

In fact, I did! My miniseries BUBBLEGUM CRISIS: GRAND MAL came out in 1994 but, alas, will never see a reprinting due to nightmarish licensing issues.

Nice; I couldn't have remembered that character's name off the top of my head if my g-d life depended on it.

Actually, Grand Mal is available at least semi-legally though Animeigo (the US licensor for the anime)'s website, which hosts a PDF through their wiki as part of their Data Archive. By semi-legally, I assume that Animeigo would have asked somebody's permission given that they're an official licensor, but for all I know they just Yolo'd it and figured the nightmarish licensing issues would prevent anybody from suing them. Speaking of con sketches, are you planning on attending any cons in the Not Too Distant Future?
