Just scanned a few more Empowered rough sketch sets from roughly 10 years ago (or more, in one case) that I found in an old folder, probably drawn to generate poses for future comic stories... maybe.

At one point, apparently had a story in mind in which Emp wound up trussed with straps (or bad buys' belts?) in a fairly unusual "hands-in-front" configuration. Not sure why this particular pose-generation set wound up looking so oddly finished, though. A follow-up page is more typical of this literally but, I hope, not figuratively "sketchy" type of sketch set:

Looking at the figure proportions on Emp, I'd say these roughs are at least 10 years old, maybe a bit more.

By a similar analysis, though, the next sketch is much older:

Just noticed that Emp is not only maskless in this sketch, but also topless(!); lordy loo!

Judging by both the figure proportions and wonky-AF "Mysteriously Intermittent Post-Millennial Torso Glitch" clearly in effect on her figure, I'd estimate this sketch was from somewhere in 2005-07, back when the dreaded Torso Glitch was rampaging unchecked through my Empowered drawing.

Finally, we close things out with a marginally more recent-looking (circa 2014-17) collection of pose-ref sketches:

The top pose from the set above looks vaguely (but only vaguely) similar to something from a recent Empowered vol.12 page:

Tricky part about a "damsel on her side" pose like this is rotating—well, tilting, more accurately—the hips and upper torso to adjust for the surface she's lying on, which I pulled off a fair bit better in the Emp12 page. Yay?

NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: Not sure at the moment as to exactly what's coming up in the next M/W/F slot, TBH. Let's find out together, shall we?

I hope this is a sign that Adam has heat. Such great art today !!

They're all great, but would love to see more pics like the 3rd page one for sure.

The finished version in Empowered looks really good. Everything seems natural, like it should for someone laying on their side. Definite torso glitch in the over the shoulder shot. Her head seems turned too far for how her body is positioned.

I knew this was old work at first glance, simply because she's so slender instead of Reubenesque.
