Behold, from the bygone, mid-2000s era when the Playstation magazine PSM was commissioning swimsuit illos of videogame characters(!) for a recurring summer feature, here are the few Work Stages I could dig up for a full-page piece I worked on depicting the badass heroine from the never-released Starcraft: Ghost.

First, the rough:

No sign of my final pencils or inks for the piece in the PSM folder, which makes me wonder where the hell I stashed 'em. I could, however, find my color guide, which is based on those missing inks:

And the delightful final colors by my bud Ryan Kinnaird, who likewise did plenty of work for PSM back in those days:

NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: Dunno, TBH, as I'm desperately flinging up posts whilst plowing through all the manifold tasks that piled up during my long struggle with that Harley Quinn story, but something should be going up in the next M/W/F slot, okay?

2022-12-29 16:21:50 The outfit makes me think she's a fellow 3WA Agent to Kei & Yuri, one who annoys the shit out of the Lovely Angels by never having anything ever go wrong at all on her missions. And/or she gets sent to the equivalent of the Bahamas or Swiss ski resorts, while the Angels get sent tto Cleveland.

Heck, my understanding of the reason (at least the official one) that Kei and Yuri get sent into such tough places is that, since the Central Computer sees them as the 3WA's top agents, they get sent into the nastiest, most dangerous missions. Conversely, the cushy assignments probably go to stumblefuck incompetents who can't get fired because government job or only got the assignment because they're somebody's nephew, because they can't screw it up too bad or the assignment isn't too difficult. Same reason the ambassador to Greece is some guy who owns a bunch of hotels and gave a pile of money to the Biden campaign, while the ambassador to the Central African Republic has two masters degrees, speaks five languages, and has 30 years of experience in foreign service. Meaning, she's getting rewarded/Kei and Yuri are being punished because she's not as good at her job as they are. (This is also the official explanation for Kei and Yuri's anomalous collateral damage, IIRC; "They get sent into impossible situations because they're so awesome; when you account for mission difficulty, they actually product much better outcomes than somebody else would")
