Wellp, damsel-in-distress fans, I have a definite lack of finished-looking DiD content in the pipeline, as most of the material lined up for posting is of a literally if not figuratively "sketchy" bent. With a new Harley Quinn short story deadline currently breathing down my neck, I'm not sure when I'm gonna get around to working on those Rose & Lily: Flowers of Peril comic pages mentioned here previously.

So, for a brief break from the DiD "sketchiness," I thought I'd delve back in time (and back in my iPad's camera roll) to a series of more developed-looking Clip Studio Paint art requests from the Bigger Spenders of the $10 & $20 tiers (though mostly the latter), with sketch sets dating back to those bygone days of 2020 yore.

Pretty sure these old images would've mostly been seen before by only the Biggest Spenders as part of their Monthly Exclusive Bonus Post dealie, though a few miiiight have appeared in $5-tier Distressed Damsels posts on occasion.

I'm honestly unsure as to whether or not many Bigger Spenders bother to comb back through the archives to see the Exclusive Bonus Posts, as I rarely see very many "likes" on older posts. (Yes, I'm aware that Patreon features more complex analytical tools to quantify Patron engagement in detail, but I've neither the time nor the energy nor the interest to actually use those tools.)

A few words:

Not 100% sure which Clip Studio Paint brushes I was using on this first piece, gotta admit. (Worked out decently enough, though.)

Yeahp, I am definitely not a fan of drawing complex Japanese shibari ropework, though in truth I like drawing Spidey's costume webbing even less.

Go figure, didn't knock myself out shooting for a Rey DiD resemblance.

Not very much DiD imagery in this piece, true, but I thought the Bettie Page poses were cute when I spotted this set on the iPad, so here it is.

And back on the "sketchy" tip, when I dumped the previous 2020-era images into a Patreon subfolder on the ol' PC, I spotted a lone "straggler" piece of artwork left over from scans of commissioned superdamsel Emerald strapped into in a straitjacket:

This sketch should've been included with the other sets in a late September post with multiple images of poor Emerald in that goofily revealing straitjacket that was later reused in Empowered vol. 12; not sure why it was left out.

So, yeah, on occasion in the months to come, I'll work in some of these older art request Clip Studio Paint sketch sets that most of the $5-tier Patrons haven't seen—and possibly some of the $10 and $20 Patrons as well, if they're not inclined to archive diving.

Lemme know what you think of this practice, as I'm genuinely curious about how far back Patrons bother to "archive dive" into those older DiD posts.

NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: Not sure, due to the semi-randomized M/W/F posting schedule, but something should be going up on Friday, I can assure you.

Note to self: remember to request Spiderman in shibari, perhaps being tied by Adam and the Phantom, with the three of them atop an elephant moving down car-lined streets surrounded by complex urban architecture.

Tekkaman-James

Haha! When I had requested a black-suit Spidey, I assumed you would gone with the comic book version. Sorry for unintentionally torturing you with the Raimi version, Adam! 😂

PixelThis

I was just archive diving and was surprised the archive only goes back to April 2019. I feel like I've been subscribed to your stuff for more than 3 years.

The Silver Socialist

Having Emp use her prisoner number as a top is genius. Very Burlesque. Kudos to the Patron who requested it.

I always loved seeing your Moiraine in Distress art, and I'd ask for more if I wasn't afraid of boring you with it, Adam.

Don't sweat it, request away; she's no more boring than any other of the damsels I'm drawing repeatedly! And, in fairness, most of the sketches of her have turned out pretty decently.
