Black & white WORK STAGES on new pin-up illo! (Patreon)
Content
Today's hastily thrown-together Memorial Day post features the B&W Work Stages on a new pin-up illo I'm doing for Merc Magazine. Amusingly enough, the final version will feature a variant "topless patch," which is apparently a thing that happens nowadays. Go figure! (Hey, what the heck, as I was offered twice what I would get for any of the Marvel or DC covers I'm presently angling to do.)
Assuming I finish said topless patch soon enough, that's gonna be an Exclusive dealie for the Bigger Spenders of the $10 and $20 tiers.
Less excitingly, the piece will also feature a white-line "whisker overlay" for the figurative big cats at top, as seen here previously with Empowered vol.12's sabertooth cat.
The Work Stages on the illo are pretty straightforward, though there's one notable thing about the final rough below:
The figurative big cats at the top of the page were my very first Cintiq-drawn Clip Studio Paint sketches to ever be included in a finished piece's work process. Yay?
NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: Tomorrow should see the Exclusive Monthly Bonus Post for the Bigger Spenders of the $10 and $20 Patron tiers, which will probably feature the aforementioned "topless patch" as well as a bunch of two-color "conventionless con sketches" I've recently finished.
Beyond that, I'm hoping to put up a quick "state of the Patreon" post as interesting times are afoot for me, but time's gonna be in short supply today and tomorrow for such an update; I'll try my best, though, okay?
