VNTAGE CON SKETCHES: More 2000-ish DIRTY PAIR commissions! (Patreon)

Behold, more Vintage Con Sketches of Dirty Pair's Kei & Y**i from the turn of the millennium. Yay! 

Back then, I was doing so many of these DP con sketches at a time that I constantly experimented with often wacky character and costume design variations to stave off boredom, as seen with the first, notably goofy piece:

The next piece featured then-current baseline designs for the Angels, but was livened up by the presence of the rarely seen Mughi:

Well, to clarify, I couldn't draw big cats off the top of my head without reference; and back then, obvsly, I couldn't just grab my phone and image-search relevant feline photos on the fly. Then again, let's be honest; the wholly cartoony and (ahem) "unrealistic" Big Fluffy Mughi from the anime version will always be Best Mughi, IMHO.

Man, those are some long, long legs on Y**i; and dig those hyperstylized faces on the girls, sporting the whimsical noses and exaggerated cheek outlines that I would soon have to jettison during the early 2000s in favor of the "minimal nostril indication" approach. Had to be done, folks!
