Behold, the Work Stages for my cover illo to the 2009 one-shot Empowered: The Wench with a Million Sighs, featuring luxurious colors by Emily Warren (no relation), who would later go on to do the (excellent) artwork for the subsequent one-shot Empowered: Ten Questions for the Maidman.

Peak "Big Pouty Lips" on Emp, you'll notice. And speaking of noticing, can you spot the exceedingly wee revision made between the final two color drafts at the end of the image gallery above?

UPDATE: Tacked on a collage-y dealie of various stages that I pieced together for promoting this post on Twitter. Yay?

NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: Not really sure, TBH! (A bonus installment of I Am Empowered is coming up sometime this week, though.)

Hm, I think the last two color drafts are out of order, since the second-to-last one matches the final cover?

Very pouty lips on this Emp, yep. No one tell the poor girl it makes her lips look fat. :V

You turned on the monitor in MF's tombstone?

So nice to see your process and notations! About the wee revision: the robot's eyes turned red in the final draft.
