Before continuing serialization of the Pint-Size(d) Ninja Platoon (ahem) "story," thought I'd post a random grab-bag of recent damsel-in-distress commissioned(-ish) sketchery that's been piling up of late.

First up is a Clip Studio Paint sketch set based on April art requests from the Big Spenders of the $20 tier. Note that, for an artist who can't draw resemblances worth a crap, trying to depict Rey in bondage without any of her familiar costumes is pretty much impossible; so, I just drew one of her hairstyles and called it a day:

Note, BTW, that I only figured out how to consistently pull off that "white lettering with black outlines" Clip Studio Paint riff halfway through the page. Whoops! (Note also that I do that because inverting the text to white helps disguise how utterly godawful my digital-format hand-lettering looks. Just cannot letter worth a crap with the ol' Apple Pencil, sad to say.)

And below is the Bettie Page photo that the Sexy Librarian Emp image was derived from. Of all things, I thought Bettie's left arm was really interesting from a life-drawing POV, as I rarely draw women's arms in that specific pose:

Meanwhile, I'd mostly forgotten that I'd sketched out a few more pages in the Hushed Half Elf "potion gnomes" episode a few months ago. I tacked on the previous page in the (ahem) "story," as our bondage-cursed heroine was struggling to escape capture by a pair of gnomes running a potion shop; when we left off, one of her wee, would-be captors was hurling a vial of "sovereign glue" at her:

The new pages start off with our pointy-eared damsel partially avoiding the (ahem) glue:

...but then pulling free of the sticky stuff and turning the tables on her diminutive tormentors:

What can I say, folks? I liked the idea of the vexed Half-Elf using her magically boosted voluptuousness as a weapon.

Aaaaaaand that was about it for the new Hushed Half-Elf pages, drawn a few months ago for a long-time commissioner who's cool with such loosely sketched pieces.

Along those same lines, t'other day I knocked out a similarly quick and sketchy  Empowered piece for another long-timer, who wanted something featuring Distressed Emp with her hands tied in front of her, a rarely seen pose (more for in-universe practical reasons than anything else, TBH).  So, cue sketches of Emp multiply lassoed by unseen villainous cowboys(?):

Not sure when (or if) I'll post it here, but a few weeks ago I worked on a similarly formatted comic commission with an unusual take: The request was to work Emp into an apparently well-known damsel-in-distress scene from Jamaica Inn, an early Hitchcock movie I'd (vaguely) heard of but not seen. Amusingly enough, Charles Laughton's outfit from that scene strikes me as so outlandish that I probably could've ported it over directly into Empowered supervillainy. As I said, not quite sure I'll post the pages here, though, as I actually find it a bit disturbing to depict Emp as quite so passive and tearily submissive as poor Maureen O'Hara in that Hitchcock scene. (Er, unless said submissiveness is part of role-playing in the bedroom, of course.)

Anyhoo, next Wednesday the Pint-Size(d) Ninja Platoon goofiness from the early 2000s will continue, with Yuri now taking her turn as the teeny-shinobi-targeted damsel. Wheeeee!

Tomorrow on this here Patreon: Serialization of the unpublished 2003 story Dirty Pair: Quick & Dirty continues, this time featuring by far the most ambitious "camera zoom-in" sequence I've ever done in my entire g-d career. Huzzah!

Well done, Sir! I appreciate it!

Fun stuff, as usual.

Hey Adam, Again, just amazed at the quantity and quality of your work. I don't know how you get it all done! As an action fan, I really admire the choreography of your fights. The Hushed Half Elf potion gnomes glue/breasts/leg lock gag is priceless. I was curious about your plan to transition to digital. If you've already discussed this, a link would be appreciated. Thanks for all the entertainment!

Ehh, I think I talk about my frankly limited progress in messing around with digital mostly in the sketch dumps, which are searchable under the "Clip Studio Paint work" hashtag (when I remember to apply it): https://www.patreon.com/adamwarren/posts?filters%5Btag%5D=Clip%20Studio%20Paint%20work

That is one hell of a fighting style!! :'D

Adam, as always thank you so much for doing my request and for providing all this superb content for us! I get such a kick out of seeing these sketches and the content you post daily makes being stuck inside all the time a little more bearable. Personally, I hope we will get to see the scene you made based on Jamaican Inn. One of the things I really love about your Patreon is getting to see a lot of content that is never going to be published so I don’t think it matters as much (to me at least) seeing characters acting out of character for a little bit. That clip also reminds me of John Willie’s art and now I’m wondering if he ever used it for inspiration in any of his work.

Obviously, Hushed Half-Elf is a mistress of the Flop-fu fighting style! She is particularly adept in the Between Two Mountains hold!

Some fantastically fun scenes here, it's always so much more fun when a gal doesn't let such things as being caught stop her from winning anyway! XD

Love "poor" Ocelotina's situation! Good ole restraint membrane is always such a great tool.

More Hushed Half-Elf, yes! I love her crushing with her assets.
