Just didn't have time to set up a Failed-Project Friday post this week, folks; my apologies.

Based somewhat loosely off the first round of October art requests (from the $10 tier), here's another bunch of sketch sets drawn in the iOS app version of Clip Studio Paint, as I continue to familiarize myself with CSP's brush selection.

The first image above is based on an old Nancy Drew "damsel-in-distress" image that I was already familiar with, as roughly 20 years ago I was commissioned to draw my own version of it. (Alas, I didn't make a copy of that sketch, and I long ago fell outta contact with the fellow who commissioned it.) Below, the original Nancy Drew illo:

Note that I forgot to draw Sexy Librarian Emp's eyeglasses in the first draft (GASP!), and had to hastily tack them on in a separate layer,

The "rough pencil" brush seems pretty handy for an emulation of my graphite-based life drawings, but I'm not sure it would be all that useful for more demanding and detailed rendering. The lighter and darker pencil brushes are interesting, though they feel more like inks than pencils as such. Anyhoo, I'll keep on experimenting with the ol' CSP.

BTW, I'll likely put up another art request post for the $5 tier over the weekend. (And finally get around to setting up a higher Patreon tier, which I've been contemplating for a few months now.)

"Sexy Librarian Elissa Mystery" sounds awfully close to real mystery series I've seen on Amazon. :-) Very cool sketch dump!

That "Sexy Librarian Elissa" mystery series feels like something that could be a hilarious little side-joke in the Emp-verse. XD
