Per a (seconded!) July art-request suggestion from the big spenders of the $5+ tiers, here's a set of quick sketches of Hopper from Netflix's Stranger Things, drawn in the iOs app Procreate. I should hasten to clarify that this isn't really my interpretation of the character as such, but more of a test for digital-art techniques using pics from the show as photoreference. I might still attempt my own take on "Hop" later, for whatever that's worth.

Speaking of digital doofery, I branched out a little from my usual technique of using Procreate's Medium Hard Airbrush for quick sketching, this time working in one of the graphite brushes for the pencil(-ish) tones on the two left-side images. Added s'more white highlights on hair and face (and eyes) with the Eraser tool; also, scaled up the Airbrush tool to generate those big swathes of gray tone in the right-side images, in an attempt to get away from the sketchy zig-zags I'm forced to use for shading when I use the brush at a smaller size.

I do believe I'm learnin', folks, but my voyage into the realm of digital artwork is clearly gonna be a very, very slow and painstaking journey indeed.

UPDATE: As with previous Procreate sketch sets, eventually I’ll post a time-lapse video of this sketch set on my Instagram, which is something I (frustratingly) can’t seem to do directly here. When that happens, I’ll add an IG link to this post and  save it with a “notify Patrons” alert, in case you wanna see a  fast-forwarded version of my work process.

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Click here for the promised Instagram link to a 30-second time-lapse video of the sketch set.

I just got to see the scene his face is from in the top left and I died. This is a great study on him and yes, I think you're learning very quickly!
