More roughs for a HALF-ORC HEALER story from THE LAST PARTY! (Patreon)

So!

Earlier in July, I wrapped up page roughs for a sprawling, suitably epic introductory story for fantasy project The Last Party, which worked out quite well; I really enjoyed the experience of roughing out yet another long-ass issue after cranking out 80-odd similar roughs last month for fantasy comics Godplayers and The Chaste and the Chained.

One problem, however: I do not currently have a means of producing finished artwork for that 44-page introductory story! Thus, I came up with an alternative strategy: I'll work on some short stories from The Last Party in the hopes of stumbling across a viable workflow that can later be used on that ginormous intro dealie! Yay!

This first story features the Half-Orc Healer menaced by a trio of miscreants; in our previous five pages of roughs, she took out two of them by using her Healing powers, first by inducing seizures:

...then screwing around with her next foe's inner ear:

 Our story resumes as she faces the final, biggest would-be brigand. Note that panel 1 below features the "inner ear altered" guy staggering and stumbling around in a multiple-image dealie in the background:

Whatever will our beleaguered heroine do?

 As we'll see below, she really messed up this giant oaf:

 Condemning her foe to vegetarianism is a pretty harsh measure, true; then again, as the Half-Orc notes, the "Goddess of All Healing" she worships is all about the "tough love," as it were.

Anyhoo, nine pages isn't an especially short story, if you follow me;  still, this would be far, far less of a challenge to draw than the initial 44+ page(!) introductory Last Party story I roughed out earlier in the month.

I'm currently flailing through extensive lettering-script edits on a one-off Venom War: Fantastic Four event tie-in I wrote for Marvel (due out in November, IIRC) along with wrapping up tightened page roughs for another 48-page(!) issue of the other fantasy project I've codenamed Unidentified Fantasy Offering; so, I haven't had much time to start the finished art for this story from The Last Party of late. (I'm hoping to work on it in August, for whatever that's worth.)
