Tried something a bit different recently with the ol' iOs Clip Studio Paint app, in that I experimented with a quicker, looser drawing approach based on random photoreference off my tablet's camera roll:

TBH, the tremendously time-consuming approach of producing highly rendered Life Drawing sketches is starting to seem a tad pointless, especially since I (desperately) need to figure out a faster, lower-detail art approach for future comics work.

Anyhoo, here's another 30-minute set, based on random lacrosse photos from my local newspaper:

The billowing jerseys and two-handed lacrosse-stick poses seemed vaguely relevant to all the fantasy-comic roughs I've been churning out this month; also, I always need practice on my running poses, to put it mildly.

Anyhoo, lemme know what you think of this new approach, won't you? And now, back to work on the script for The Chaste and the Chained issue #1! (Dang, but I do hate the tedium of cranking out panel descriptions...)

NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: No idea, TBH, but something should be coming up in the next M/W/F slot. Let's find out together, shall we?

If less detail is what is needed to be more productive, then that’s what you have to do. But you have to be consistent (eg backgrounds, armor, etc). I imagine it will take a lot of restraint on your part. DiD pun intended. It’s a state of mind. Good luck !!
