I explored a subject similar to this one in two little stories I posted a few years ago - "Legacy" and "My Father's Legacy".  When posting that I mentioned my friend Annabelle Raven ( https://ft-tg.blogspot.com/ ) who seems to write all her caps based on intergenerational gender change.  Erin persuaded me to have another go.
