Shudo (Patreon)

In January next year I have scheduled the publication of a collection of my stories based on historical figures, and while this is not a story about a real wakashu, I felt that the whole shudo thing needed to be told in any collection of historical transgender fiction.  It all seems very odd looking back, but there were similar traditions in ancient Greece as well.  Have you ever heard of this thing before?  You may want to look it up.  Please comment.
