Troubleshooting (Patreon)

This is a science fiction story.  The background to this story is set out in a brief foreword as it is prequel to a "Star Trek" universe story that I wrote.  I guess I thought that the gender changing machine (which is way outside my reality rule) was too good for just one outing.  That plus that earlier story begged the question as to how this planet could have lost the ability to breed females?
