Believe it or not, this is a rumor that went around in the years following the death of "The Virgin Queen".  She was clearly interested in men, and could have married an Englishman if she found a foreign monarch politically inappropriate.  Then there was the Pope's spy who appears to hint that something like was is described here was a possibility.  Something to wonder about, but clearly a TG story.
