July Update (Patreon)

To my dear patrons, my update for July:

I have now posted almost all of the stories that I had previously posted on Fictionmania.tv on my Patreon page, so that all my patrons are ahead of the game.

What I have not yet posted here from FM are some stories that I am revising or building on, and also my many expansions of captioned images.

Also I am reworking some stories that you may have read on FM including “Jonny”, “Traditions”, “Friendship” and “Lumberjackie” (I am adding sequels and images) and also I am thinking about building an anthology of the “Triton PA” series so I have held over the first two of those stories.

For the cap expansions, I am going to bundle these as I did for “John’s Collection Volume 1” and “John’s Collection Volume 2” that I am filing today.

I have a lot of fun with these, where I find the hint of a plot in the cap and pull the thread into something that I hope might be very different from what the cap writer was thinking.

In some cases what I have developed can really be the basis for a full story way beyond the original cap. I am considering building full stories from “Forensic Accountant”, “Kinsey Scale”, and also the stories about “the threesome” and the Cavendish weddings. Perhaps also “So Wrong”? What about others? I am open to suggestion.

Also I am open to any suggestion as to how I might grow my patron base. Anybody who reads my Author’s Notes on FM knows how needy I am, and the best thing about Patreon is it makes me feel appreciated for what I do, in a very tangible way.

Just a note about the new original stories posted since my last update which do not appear anywhere else: “Masina” about Samoan fa’afine, “Amazon” based on Gaddafi’s bodyguards, “Penalties” a football story, “Legacy” about a grandfather’s secret life and retro fashion, “Virtuality” about geeks, “Sanctuary” set in South America, “Isolation” set on a French sub-Antarctic island, “Transatlantic” a reworking of “Titanic”, “Vlogger” – well, whatever, and “The Quarterback” a voluntary transition and maybe also another football story.  Feedback please.

Plus I have posted an essay on my stories and I would like to know if that it what is wanted.

Finally, in addition to “John’s Collection Volume 2”I will be posting another two stories today: “Adwomen” and “The Surgeon”.
