Since this series was produced and written so well, the changes in the story don't bother me at all. Actually it's the first time that this many changes don't bother me. It's even the opposite, that's what excites me. I think, it would have been even boring if everything was a copy and paste of the anime/manga or even bad because you cannot replicate everything like that smoothly in a live action. That makes me anticipate the next season which is already on the way! YES!
