It’s a bit unfair to look at these last couple episodes as part of the grand magic games arc. It’s more like some little in between fun that isn’t connected or long enough on its own to be its own arc. They’ve done this before in between big arcs I kinda get your frustration on the dragon fights being anti climatic. All I can really say is they are super op, and I found it refreshing that the heroes legit had not hope of winning through conventional means, and it also hypes up Acnologia even more considering he’s at the top of the dragon food chain lol

That wasn't a new guild hall. It was the one they had before the 7 year skip. But with the core of Fiary Tail gone the rest of the guild couldn't afford to keep it. As a reward for winning the games, the mayor fixed it and gave it back to Fairy Tail.

I mean this episode was mixed canon filler so I can see why it seems random. Also the next 2 episodes are filler so idk if you wanna skip them. I enjoyed them but they arent connected to the arc itself much at all I feel. The Grand Magic Games arc kinda concluded with this episode (with the Mavis & Zeref interaction) so the next canon episode is 227 which starts the Sun Village arc.

totally fair to be bummed about the way the arc ended. i personally never minded since for me it felt like the same sort of no chance of winning situation as the end of Sabaody or the first fight with Kaido. they just plain aren't on the dragons' level so we got a look at the power ceiling. having said that, Tartaros arc is fire without the random dumb stuff like dolphin-man so you've got that to look forward to
