The whole Yamato being Oden thing is he claims to be Oden but has said many times after that his name Yamato which confuses everyone because wanting to be Oden but also accepting he Yamato makes you think it has nothing to do with gender but then everyone says he and son so it confusing af so basically you don't have to choose one because he has said he is both literally within the last couple episodes he told Luffy my name is Yamato not Yamao so

the way i PERSONALLY interpret Yamato's whole situation is this: He is born female and witnesses the Legendary Hour and it strikes a chord in his heart, and it makes him realize how truly free Oden was. after that moment, he begins to correlate the name Oden with the literal meaning of the word freedom. so whenever he says "I am Oden" he is proclaiming himself to be truly free. i do think he identifies as male, but there are too many instances of calling himself both Oden and Yamato for me to figure out which to call him. and every time he brings up Oden, it's in the context of freeing Wano and opening up borders, so i've chosen to take that as him speaking of freedom and not his personal identity. i could be entirely wrong and an asshole for dead-naming him, but considering Oden is such a prominent figure it's also just easier to call him Yamato to avoid confusion during discussions.

Love the outros. As everyone has said, it only gets better, even after Wano. It is surreal to be here with you after catching up for so long. It's gonna be sad not being able to watch multiple episode reactions from you pretty soon. It does my heart good to see how much love you have for this series Ruff.
