There's plenty of story with a few ppls backgrounds and then each of the fights before the end. And yea when I binged OP I loved Dressrosa even with all the pauses, I thought it gave emotional tension and poignance to the story. But then again, I binge watched 980 episodes in 12 weeks before I caught up with the anime so I was used to it lol

The pacing of the anime is only bad if you've read the manga and only in parts imo. I watched it first. Then went back and read the manga. Now it is much harder to enjoy parts of the anime because of loss of tension. More often than not though they do add tension and emotional resonance while prolonging it.

I've mostly only read it and am sort of watching along with the anime now. While some stuff is clearly streched out a bit, I don't see it as such a big problem. The first Usopp/Sugar scene is probably the one that stands out as being a bit painful because while the added time adds tension it also makes Usopp look a lot worse. He also runs away in the manga at first, but once Tontatta's are being harmed he turns around within I think only 4-5 panels, which is basically still on the same page and the first panel he is in after that and thus it feels a lot more immediate than him still hesitating at that point in the anime.

Glad you realized that it's observation haki that Usopp unlocked. I also agree with you with people underestimating Robin. Even back when she joined the crew I realized how much of a powerhouse she can actually be especially post time skip.

a big thing is ruff actually watches at the perfect speed. weekly is widely known to be to slow and when your given 1 episode a week after cutting intro outro recap you get like 10m of episode if even 1m of that is a mini rebecca flashback combined with an extended reaction shot of her before and after your looking at 10% of your new video was that flashback even if it was so short. there have been a small handful of times iv noticed while watching ruffs journey through dressrosa where i was like ok this extended shot was extended too long. but really cut 5-10s out of it and its a fine reaction shot and this only happens a few times. on the flips side if your binging a billion episodes at a time whenever a flashback or recap or anything happens you literally just watched it according to grandlinereview rebeccas flashback is shown 48 times by the end of the arch. if your binging thats all in a row at least in memory. but for ruff who watches only idk 3-12 episodes a week depending on if hes binging a cool part or letting his backlog catch up. hes only getting 1 mini flashback at a time an extended shot is long sure but hes still watching enough episodes that the plot progresses forward. one piece is famous for its extensions and easily could have half the episodes in these later arcs. we watch at a pace that basically means we are watching 2-5 episodes of content a week (halfish what i said earlier) so plot still moves. while not binging so much that at least some % of repetition is aloud. an example of this is the pre episode recaps. if you hadnt watched one piece for a month or more that recap is actually fine to watch. but if youve watched 10 episodes in 1 day that recap is a waste of time. COMBINE ALL this with ruff is the perfect viewer. the show is made for him the parts people dont like he loves the pacing is fine he doesnt seem to mind or need it to go faster. there are definitely viewers who during any small slowdown or filler is dieing to see the next part so much they cant wait. (there are probably zero viewers hoping it is dragged out more though) TLDR ruff happens to view at the perfect pacing while being the least annoyed by the pacing than other types of viewers.

Don't worry Ruff; you aren't the only one who isn't bothered by the Kyros and Rebecca scenes. It's rare; but there exists people like you, me, and others who are very empathetic. You're one of my #1 favorites because of how caring you are. I've seen reactors who aren't even fazed by emotional scenes, some even make jokes and laugh....I immediately stop watching them. If a person can't confront thier feelings and uses jokes to not cry, then I don't want to watch. I understand that they are that way due to unfortunate circumstances in their past/present, but I can only watch so many reactors. So of course I'm gonna choose the ones who are more empathetic and show thier feelings. I also don't watch the really perverted reactors (unfortunately there's many😑). You Ruff; are the reactor that's the best fit for me. I enjoy your videos so much! Keep up the awesome work of just being yourself and watching anime😁. I'm not overlooking all the editing and whatnot you do either, good job with that too!👍
