To comment on the pacing as everyone else is, when watching the episodes back to back, the pacing is less noticeable, but when most of us had to wait, week after week just for one episode, the pacing got to us as it took months on months to get anywhere, but when you can digest it much more quickly, the pacing just isnt as much of an issue.

His lie about having thousands of loyal followers came true 😂

Nail on the head imo. I binged dressrosa and loved it, I can see how ppl could’ve had a problem with the second half. With binging the only pacing I ever felt was bad was the end of WCI.

People can look older than they are, Ruff. XDDD I grew 'assets' fairly early and people kept thinking I was at least 3 years older than I really was until my age caught up to their assumptions. Some girls also hit a point in their teens where they're going to look the same until they're much older. A friend of mine didn't change much from 17 to 27 despite the ten year difference. It's pretty common in your latter teens not to change too much for a while, or to change every day. Different for everyone. XD Also, Scarlet had Rebecca early, so there's a reason they probably look around the same age now. She was probably about 17-18 when she had Rebecca, then over the 5 or so years until her death, she didn't change much from her youthful looks. Rebecca looking a lot like her is probably because she's now nearing the same age and takes after her very strongly. It's not unheard of. I'm kind of surprised you're so hung up on this, tbh. XDDD No hate, just thought it was funny.

Hey Ruff, I really love watching you react to OP that's why I decided to support you. Keep it up. Also, about the pacing, personally, I really don't have a problem with OP pacing. Dressrosa is one of my favorite arcs, I don't know how many times I have rewatched this arc and the OP since episode 1. I think people are comparing it too much to the manga. It's an anime of course they need to extend some scenes that's how it works. I cant wait till you reach the end of the arc.

i dont think Sabo was Dragon's right hand only because i feel Ivan is Dragon's right hand. and also Ace was considered 2nd division, but Marco was WB's right hand.

Katagiri Yuichi

He is Dragon’s right hand. It was confirmed in a SBS and Oda drew a cover with all of the most important number 2 of OP (Revolutionary included) and it was Sabo not Ivan. Ace was 2nd division captain but Oda never said that he was Whitebeard’s number 2. And if you hear « 2nd division captain » it’s obviously mean that there is a first division captain unless if you thought that Whitebeard was the captain of a division not the one of the entire crew and Oda did say that WB’s Crew was like an army so there’s going to be a lots of division captains (Marco, Ace etc) and a commander that everyone follows (Whitebeard) it’s basically like Aot if my explanation was confusing.

This episode solidified for me that Doflamingo is one of my favorite villains ever. As for the pacing, imo there was only a couple battles that dragged too long to make sure they ended at the same time as more fun parts, but that doesn't stop me from thinking that Dressrossa is my third favorite arc after Enies Lobby and an upcoming arc that I don't wanna name to not overhype you.

the pacing evreone have a problem is that it wasse weekly it good pace wenne watch multiple episode in a row but weekly wasse like 3 years for this ark alone

Steven Clarke

The pacing is almost perfect in my eyes. A story this massive, and with the amount of characters there are. It’s needs to be a little bit slower if you’re gonna get all of those small details that make the story so much better.

Late comment, but I love your opinions on One Piece and its pacing. I completely agree! I really don't get the negativity and there is just so much of it, it's wild... like maybe those people should realize they just don't like One Piece? I don't know. It's a shounen anime. I've been watching One Piece for 20 years (yikes) and Dressrosa is my favorite arc, taking over from Alabasta before. It's a fantastic story and I'm excited for you to see the rest of it. My absolute favorite character is coming up!

Kor of the Son

You can't truly understand the problems with the pacing unless you've read the manga. I'm perfectly happy that Ruff has no complaints about the pacing yet, more power to him. As it's been said before, binging the series instead of watching it weekly helps to fix the problem. "You must not be a fan of One Piece if you have complaints about it" is a bit of an unfair view, though. The pacing doesn't really have anything to do with it being a shounen; there are plenty of shounen anime adaptations that have far better pacing than One Piece. One Piece's problem is that it is released weekly, which automatically gives it a handicap, because Toei is forced to drag everything out in order to not catch up with the manga. I love the One Piece anime, but I'm not afraid to admit that it has plenty of problems. Those people who whine to Ruff about the pacing being bad incessantly every week are obnoxious, I agree, but that doesn't mean that there isn't truth in what they say.

I have read the manga as well! I guess I just agree with Ruff and the pacing doesn't bother me. I don't mean that there aren't any problems with it ever, sometimes there are small lulls. In particular I feel like the Senor and Franky fight drags really badly. But like you said, those people who whine about it all the time are super obnoxious. I do think that if you don't like the pacing overall, you don't like the show. I'd say that about any show. But there's other ways to enjoy the story of One Piece, like the manga.

Ruff has the absolute best reactions. I was crying when I was wathcing his reaction to God Usopp and had to pause because I couldn't breath, I was laughing so hard.
