When it comes to anime filler more often than not it turns out bad and can sometimes even ruin the story by changing pre-established rules or adding something that the actual story contradicts later. So, I can understand why just hearing anime filler can bother so many people. But here is the thing it's only a problem when it is bad. When it is actually good why are people complaining?

Whether filler is good or bad doesn’t matter. Ppl don’t like it bc it doesn’t mean anything and doesn’t ouch the story forward and u can feel it. Take G8 one of my favorite fillers. It didn’t actually do anything for the story at all, it began and ended in the same place

some of these fillers are being used to give them small progress that leads to power ups so it wouldn't feel like an ass pull when they suddenly pull a mana zone or some other power up in the middle of a fight. Here we can see noelle learning the fundamentals of mana zone (using the mana around you), and a few episodes ago we saw leopold do the same. some filler matters, some don't.

Some of us grew up eating eggs with ketchup lol. I think it's only weird in the US
