the anime canon episodes were supposed to be in the manga as well, but Tabata decided to skip to the spade arc and let the anime explain everything so that he could get ahead and get a lead on the anime that was catching up to him.almost all those ep were overseen by him

if your wondering ruff , the company that was doing black clover at first didnt give it much a budget thinking it wouldnt be a massive hit but over time its fan base grew and grew and grew so they kinda were forced to increase the money amount

I wouldn't say they were supposed to be in the manga, but Tabata definitely had some input for SOME of the anime canon/filler episodes. Only a few episodes would've been manga worthy

anime canon means that it did happen in the manga, it Just wasnt showed. so if they kill a char offscreen in the manga they can kill that char on screen in the anime and it would be anime canon

I don't think langris was trying to be a total dick to finral. From what I understand, Langris' jealousy/superiority complex was amplified by the elf dormant inside him. He is still kind of a dick now, but he doesn't necessarily wish Langris harm. When he says he wont make it that easy for him, I think he just means that Finral has a long way to go before he can be a respectable head of his house (which is true) and Langris won't let him take the easy way out, but make sure that he progresses. He'll probably always be a bit of a dick but that's how I interpret it
