Filler Question for One Piece Episode 575-578 (Patreon)

Is this filler I should be doing a video or on or should it just be a skip and start the next arc. (This is the first 3 episodes of the arc after Fishman Island)

It is tied to a movie but you don't need to see it to watch that movie. I would skip it and play it on twitch together with a movie or in your free time before streaming the movie.

It's related to the Z movie, I'd say to watch it along with the movie. The tricky part about that movie is that it's supposed to be filler, but there are some details that can be considered canon.

It depends. If you plan on watcging Film Z (which is considered 1 of the best movies) then yes, preferably right before watching the movie. If not then there's definitely no need.

These episodes are for the One Piece movie Z. They are also unnecessary for the movie, but there are some shorts that tie in with the movie that should be watched before. 575 to 578 isn’t bad, you’ll just spend more time with the straw hats.

I thought it was pretty funny filler. I normally only skip filler when it’s in the middle of an arc and it isn’t trying to tie in with the arc, like with what they did with Ace in Alabasta. So like the filler episodes during Impel Down that just interrupted it, that I skipped. But I would say skip since it’s not really impacting story. It’s mostly just a lead in for the Z movie. I would watch them if your going to do the movie though

i say definitely watch on your own time. Especially since 575 has some canon material in the beginning. Also its the filler that leads up to Film Z if you wanna watch that some time. Also they talk about the filler in the beginning of 579 so that way you wont be lost

I would say this filler arc is pretty fun we shouldn't always aim for big canon moments.Sometimes watching straw-hats fighting against non-canon enemies are fun and relieving.

hard skip. post-timeskip filler (or at least, full caps of filler) is always promotional content for the movies. and honestly pretty bad. at least it's always placed between sagas so the skipping is easy

No. Thing is it’s the “lead in” filler to the Z movie but you wouldn’t be able to watch that movie until after Punk Hazzard due to a major spoiler on a particular character.
