Yay just on time.

Dragon is not a Pirate.

KaitouLuminous

505 is a great episode for anyone to watch when they're suffering from losing a loved one, cause it's a lesson we all can take to heart. Instead of just focusing on what we lost remember who we still have that can pull us out of the darkness

"We're in this Saga since 385..." - Laughs in 2021. Watching you cry every episode in this video makes me also cry again even after seeing these episodes dozens of times :-)

Bro making me cry this early

katabug0303

And I am crying again. Not just because your crying but also with Luffy’s pain. I got no siblings so I don’t know why this hits me hard but it always does. And I can’t look at Ace’s grave without crying. Seeing his hat and name there just hurts.

Dadan is one of the best moms in anime.. and no one can convince me otherwise

Rikin Patel

That scene with Luffy and Ace on the cliffs is the best scene in One Piece imo (and my favourite). The amount of pain, contemplation, and their entire reasoning for becoming Pirates and being free came from this incident. Who Luffy and Ace are is perfectly explained in this flashback! It gives so much characterization to both. Luffy is who he is at his core because of his life here! Amazing man 🥺

I wasn't planning on a sob session this morning, but it happened. I've watched this arc so many times and I cry like a baby each time, dude. I knew that scene with Dadan punching Garp was gonna hit you, but when you said it was Dadan's son who died my crying like doubled, oh my god shit makes me so emotional.

SonicKing2004

it's probably due to how Oda conveys emotion here. Though the interactions that we've seen between Luffy and Ace were very limited we've seen how much Luffy looks up to and cares for his older brother. This is reinforced by his initial decision to not "interfere with Ace's adventure" when he first learned of his capture as well as his determination later to put his life on the line to rescue him when Luffy learned that Ace was to be executed. Also we've seen Luffy achieve the impossible before, such as when he invaded the previously impenetrable Enis Lobby in order to rescue Nico Robin or even his most recent actions within the equally impregnable Impel Down, so it was a genuine shock to see Luffy genuinely fail at something he fought so hard to achieve, particularly since they were so close to victory and freedom when it happened. Combine all that with how long we've spent with Luffy and his crew and how close we've gotten with them and I would say you'd have to have a heart of stone to not shed a tear or two. Even RockDLee of the reaction group YaBoiRockLee, who's proud of the fact that he doesn't cry during these scenes (only grows angry or determined) even he got teary when the moment hit here. Just goes to show how Oda is the example to follow within the anime industry.

You should watch the 14th opening again. It's very specially crafted for this point in the story

This hit so hard. Somebody said that it's even worse if you connect what luffy said at the Enies lobby when they show the world goverment's flag and said that robins enemy was the world and luffy said "I know very well who robins enemy is" and then told to shoot the flag. Like oh he already lost someone to those scums..

katabug0303

Opening 14 is my favorite one. I can’t wait for him to do a rereaction of it

Nanach

Make folder named "Foreshadowing" and put a picture from 23:29 there^^ It'll be fun later when you see how epic Oda is with foreshadowing^^

Degenerick

11 more episodes till one piece shippuden lets go

Nanach

Luffy's wanna start at the very bottom, he's not gonna want to get get things

Clyper

This are my favorites episodes in One Piece! ❤️ Great reaction, I love it 😊

Eve Edena

"It's Dadan's son that's dead" That's so true, and so sad

Cendre

Hi Ruff, you should take a look at Ace's tatoo on his arm again now that you reached this point of the story. You will get why i am suggesting this !

Yagi di Hoshi

I wouldn't be this deep into manga, learning Japanese, & some anime without One Piece

Gentjan Murataj

At the ending of the video when luffy was saying that he missed his friend i felt like crying but couldn't cuz im out of tears i cried so much watching these 3 episodes thank u for the reaction ruff even though i was not paying too much attention to u but more to the episodes its been 5 years since i last watched them

Declan Gastineau

The "C" key is a shortcut for enabling/disabling Crunchyroll subtitles FYI

Ver

I hope ruff notices Ace's tattoo now.

Dadan punching Garp makes me cry every time, and remembering how scared she was of him makes the scene even stronger

Imagine we could have seen Sabo on Marineford too trying to save Ace :(

ZeroShiki99

Hey Ruff, please watch Ep 506 (or at least the 2nd half of the ep). it's filler but shows something very impactful that's not shown in the manga.

óðinn þorvaldsson

How can you respect dragon but think garp is irredeemable? even though garp beat luffy and ace he did not at least abandon them like dragon did

Anonymous

In Dragon's case he's a most wanted criminal leader of the Revolutionaries, a force that is fighting directly the world government, my guess is Dragon wants to protect his son from the burden and doesn't want him to be part of it most likely why no one ever knew Luffy's parents till this point, to protect him from being targeted due to the fact Luffy is Dragon's son. Garp on the other hand chose his position and "justice" over his family, leaving Ace to die in front of his own grandson's eyes. Yes he had moments where he wants to save them and has regret, but he let it happen.

Cowboy

505 is one of my all time favorite episodes.

Dadan really is a great mom...
