these episodes are filler they were not in the manga but the author really liked these character's so he chose to make them cannon later in the story.

Ahhh the next episode will be hilarious!!!! But episode 54 alwayssssss makes me cry. One of my favourite episodes. I also like how they introduced fanzel like there is still a mystery to Astas past.

no lol don't spread false information, Tabata wrote the plots for the light novels himself, someone else just wrote the actual books under his supervision

these are characters from the light novels written for Black Clover that Tabata decided to include in the manga, though the light novels are all canon too (tabata wrote the plots and someone else wrote the actual stories)

Asta not only found a group of people that cares about and believes in him, but just by being himself changed his squad’s outlook on how they think of themselves where everyone else had called “the worst of the worst squad” so much and after just a few months to where they’re willing to go to such lengths to cure his curse.
