Yami seems like he’s the former protagonist of an isekai series whose story ended, what with him talking about surpassing limits all the time and essentially being a Japanese guy that just washed up one day

Yami is basically Gintoki lmao. If you want a show full of that with more comedy and references to shonen manga, anime, and japanese popular culture, with it's share of poignant moments too, I'd recommend Gintama

no its not. just say "light" in english (literal translation) , cause the english language doesnt really have the "ch"-sound that germans use. closest english examples for that "ch" sound would be "cliche" or "niche", but your examples are way off

Yes, the copyright infringement line was in the manga and it was amazing. It was also where I realized Yami isn’t just the greatest character ever created but the greatest fourth wall character ever created. There are more moments in the series where you literally stop and question whether Yami knows he’s in a shonen series. I was laughing so much and I basically did a double take because I couldn’t believe what I had just read. These are honestly my two favorite episodes of this arc. Charlotte x Yami is my OTP forever.
