I want to say that the screaming gets better, but it takes A LONG TIME sadly. I personally had a hard time watching it despite liking the story, but there are definitely a couple episodes that are hype. 100 and 119 are hype as fuck. But pretty much whenever you hear the first OP play, shit about to go down.

Don’t worry Ruff Asta definitely stops screaming eventually. Somewhere within the first 20 episodes he completely stops screaming like that. And I would have to say some of the most hype episodes for me are episode 63 & 119. This show only gets better I promise. I would love to see a reaction series for this show and Slime. The only parts that drag are the filler but theres a very small amount of filler and you can just binge it on your own time

I’m all caught up and I think ep 50, I think around ep 63, ep 100, ep 119, and ep 167 are the most hype episodes in my opinion

First thing Ruff you might want to stop doing episode one reactions for a bit. Mostly because I know there are several you want to watch now. Second I love this series. Third I know there are three of the episode ones you have done that I would like you to react to. I personally would like you to start with Assassination Classroom (it is short and completed) 2nd That time I got reincarnated as a slime (second season is airing now) 3rd Black Clover (the longest one to date) Now understand I did this order for your sanity because the shorter anime you can get done relatively quick then you can move on to the longer one.

I had no problem with Asta's voice in later episodes – so I see the extreme yelling as another way to overcompensate his lack of magic.

Ok 👏 I do HIGHLY recommend reacting to the rest of Black Clover after you finish HxH but, I think you should do at least 1 shorter series in between the two. Also! The screaming does die down after a few episodes (id say around episode 6 or 7 if i remember correctly?) and one episode that sticks out im my mind is episode 66. The fight scene is PURE ART!!!

I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! But yeah even re-watching the first episode, I forgot how much Asta yells. Hoooooly. Just checked and it looks like around Ep. 11 they finally tone him down.

Now this series deserves more reactions. It is that great! Easily in my top three (after One Piece and Attack on Titan). I wouldn't mind you reacting to this, Reincarnated Slime, or Assassination Classroom!

I definitely like Black Clover, but if you had to pick between it or That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, I'd go Slime, at least first. TTIGRAAS is better in my opinion as a short series, however that's not what Black Clover is trying to be. Black Clover is more designed to be a long running Shounen, like a spiritual successor to Naruto. I like it for the most part, but my interest faded after a few seasons. I like describing it as if Naruto and Fairy Tail mixed. It's not as good as Naruto by a long shot, but isn't bad either. All in all I'd still recommend it, but I'd use it to take the place of a long running show after exploring some shorter series.

The yelling is the downside to this being the voice actor's first gig and the director being a novice, and apparently told the newbie to scream and give lots of energy. After the voice actor got another gig working on Fire Force with a veteran director, he learned to tone down his voice. This will become more evident later in the series.

Watching the episode proper, and regarding the dub, it's much more tolerable. It's one of the few anime that people recommend the dub over the sub. But, again, it shows the difference in experience. The Black Clover dub isn't the actor's and director's first time, and it definitely shows. EDIT: Episodes 20 and 21 are where it really goes down.

I definitely recommend continuing Black Clover. I've watched all of One Piece, and all of Black Clover, and I think Black Clover has a team dynamic that is better than one pieces.

This show is definitely one of my faves, and it is one that really builds as it goes on. Early on it seems really stereotypical, and a lot of the characters are just comic relief. But there is a lot of depth top it, and some AMAAAZING action, music and storytelling. This was the VERY first role for the voice actor of the main character. Within a few episodes, his over-the-top yelling smooths out nicely. Definitely worth checking out, even if you only want to watch it on your own instead of reacting.

Asta screams way less in the dub,or I should say when he screams its not annoying and it's alot less compared to the sub,and honestly overall black clovers dub is definitely one of the best dubs to come out within the last Decade or so,super hyped you reacted to episode one hope you decide to do the full series it only gets better from here,

So basically this anime is a pretty straight forward shounen in dbz style where they overcome every obstacle by getting stronger and so on and it also drags a lot but it's not the trash level of fairy tail for example. This is a really good show with a huge lack in quality most of the time but when it goes down it goes down. The parts and moments that matter are done right and they are really good but also the bad parts that feel fillerish and really trashy (also animation can be awfull and awesome too) are caused by black clover beeing a weekly anime. If this anime would've gotten a proper seasonal adaption it would be up there with these new generation shounen like MHA.

yes please react to this! it gets amazing in just a few episodes! the screaming stops by like episode 8 or something and it gets better from that. this show is a ride like jojo and hunter x hunter.
