King Crimson can erase time and see into the future thats how he was able to predict bruno's movement. Think of the time erasing part as something similar to editing out the middle 5 seconds of a 20 second video.

The boss has split personality, meaning that both the boss and Doppio are the same person but the boss basically is the dominant personality so he’s the Bess while doppio is the subordinate although they are the same person. The boss’s right hand and most trusted subordinate is himself, Doppio.

If Narancia never joined them the boss would've died right there and everything would be over right there, however at the same time if naracia didn't come they might have actually lost to clash and talking head.

So I guess I'll also join in on explaining what has already been shown. King Crimson is the Boss's stand and Eulogy (Real name is Epitaph) is the small face on King Crimson's forehead and is a sub-stand like Sheer Heart Attack on Killer Queen. King Crimson erases time by a maximum of ten seconds and Epitaph allows him to see a dozen (most likely 10) seconds into the future. This allows the boss to see if he gets killed or attacked in the future then erase time and evade that attack and position himself to kill his enemy. Like the Boss said, Epitaph always shows the absolute future, it cannot be changed. However if time is erased, it's as if the Boss is removed from the flow of time and he can then evade any attack while his foes unconciously do what they were fated to do. Doppio is italian for Double which is ironic since he acts as the bosses body-double, hiding his true face. Doppio does not know he is the Boss and believes the Boss communicates with him through phones which are just random objects to other people. It sort of if two people existed in one body and the Boss was the dominant one, allowing him to take full control when he wants. Doppio cannot use all of King Crimson but the boss can use Both KC and Epitaph which leads me to believe that Doppio and the Boss were supposed to two different people but were instead born in one body, However because Doppio used Epitaph and King Crimsons arms means the Boss can temporarily give Doppio control of certain parts of the stand. King Crimson being the Boss's stand and Epitaph Doppio's. The boss also seems to view Doppio as someone who he trusts fully since he encourages him even though he cares little for other people. None of this is spoilers to something that's going to be explained IMO and it can be surmised by what happens in this episode. This is also why I love this character. Both the Boss and Doppio would be much weaker without the other to cover for them. Doppio hides him while the boss fights enemies by himself. Also Doppio making those ringing noises is the Boss calling him, he just looks insane. I've edited this comment a bunch now but I really want to get my interpretation of everything out there. I also believe the way these two beat Risotto shows why the Boss is so powerful. He managed to manipulate people outside the fight to kill his enemy without risking transforming and Risotto escaping after seeing him.

The boss might not have died, he would have known Narancia wasn't with them and not used his stand to kill Risotto, but he would most likely transform and risk killing him with KC.

My favorite fight of the Jojo fights thats been animated so far. The only one I like better than this one is Jotaro vs Dio. Risotto is such a cool character and this is such an welcome way to introduce the boss. Araki is the GOAT of character creation and coming up with great ways to introduce them that keeps you guessing the whole time. I love this show so much! I'm glad you love it too!!!

The boss is Dopios alternate personality. Although is still somewhat debated in Jojos community. His story is purposefully made confusing and mysterious as f by Araki

Edit: This is wrong but it was my take when I watched this episode. Whoops The name Doppio comes from the word Doppelganger which means another you, which always makes it cool when Boss say "My Doppio" meaning he is also saying "My Otherself". I just love that small detail. It just shows how much love and thought was put on all of the names. Araki is the man!

The human brain is so ridiculously complex and difficult to fully comprehend. It certainly can't be underestimated how much it can impact the rest of the body in certain extreme situations, such as when it's so incredibly convinced it's this or that. I mean normally we don't use any more than 10% of our brain capacity. So yeah, it's crazy and surreal that having double or multiple personalities can change the physique, but that just goes to show how powerful the mind really is in the most extreme of circumstances. Granted, idk how much of a change in physique can happen in reality, it's probably more subtle than what they show here lol.
