I think you should read it up to the current point in the anime (chapter 112 is what was animated). Imo read on your own time from ep1 to flesh out the story then continue once your caught up with reacting to it. There was a lot missed, changed, and skipped, and you could tell it was seriously rushed a ton in the anime. Personally was liking the anime more but is it goes on the number of things rushed and skipped bothered me a lot. Webtoon chapters are shorter then mangas so it won't take to long.

The Monkey King is actually the ancient legend that Goku was based on so Mori is basically the second coming of Goku.
