Picking the start of the canon for the first return to multiple episodes is nice in itself, but 3 episodes? You're on fire lmao

Lovin' all the One Piece content today! I'm glad you're enjoying the show so much :) A couple things you might have missed so far: 1) It seems like you picked up on this toward the end, but yes, Koza is part of the rebellion against the king. Not only that, he is the LEADER of the entire rebellion. This is why Vivi was so confident she could stop the rebellion if they got to Yuba and why Crocodile was so worried they might meet. There were A LOT of hints to this up until now (so you'll probably get a lot of angry Youtube comments lol) but you probably missed this because of the different way Oda sets up this entire conflict. In other stories, the rebel army would be the bad guys, especially since the king is so obviously a good guy, so you wouldn't also expect Koza, another good guy who wants to protect the country, to be a rebel. But the whole point of the arc is that the people on both sides of the war are good people who care about the country, and the real evil is Crocodile who's manipulating all these good people to kill each other. 2) The reason the king trusted Crocodile up until now was because he is a Warlord of the Sea. It's been a while since they introduced the Warlords so you might've forgot, but the Warlords aren't just strong pirates. They're pirates that have been given pardons and authorization from the World Government, so there's no real reason for law-abiding citizens and countries to distrust them, especially since Crocodile was going around acting like a hero. I can't wait to see your reactions to the rest of the arc! This is honestly one of my favorites, and I think the climactic episode of the arc is actually one of the best episodes of anime ever.

And yeah, it isn't the King's fault it hasn't rained. But the "false flag" optics by Baroque Works made it seem like the King was using Dance Powder to make it rain instead of it occurring naturally, and since there had been no rain for the past 3 years, that's what created the rift between the rebels and those still loyal to the royal family.

And yeah, at the end of episode 100, Vivi reveals that Kohza became the head of the rebel army. That's him, same scar from when that wannabe-kidnapper cut him and everything.

The 7 warlords are supposed to obey the government, and as a member of the warlords, Crocodile passed himself off as a hero, defeating pirates who attacked alabasta, establishing a successful casino in Rainbase, and basically playing his role perfectly. It makes sense that everyone trusted him.

This is awesome! Keep doing you man. Go at your own pace haha

5 episodes! BEST DAY EVER! A few little details though: 1. As people said, Kohza is actually the LEADER of the rebel army. In Alabasta, both sides of the upcoming war are “good”: the rebels and the royal army. They both think they’re protecting the country. That’s why Crocodile doesn’t want them to meet and clear up the misunderstanding! 2. Crocodile talked about his reason for staying in Alabasta and why he chose that country with his subordinates during their meeting but it’s not showed until now! He just specified he’s carrying the ‘utopia’ operation with them and gave them specific tasks to perform to achieve said goal! 3. Fun fact: the translation in the episode 103 when Mr 2 was dancing is actually a pun: He’s singing: Okama way! … Oh Come my way!" Okama" in Japanese is the word gay and drag people refer to themselves with! It’s one of the funny puns Oda likes to add to One Piece 😊

One thing you should also know about is that the manga does canon side stories on it's covers called Cover Stories which are actually important to the main story. The first two of these were adapted which were the mini Buggy episodes and the Koby training episodes. Most of the cover stories don't get adapted though which may cause confusion later when stuff that was set up in there shows up in the anime without any explanation. The first of the cover stories that doesn't get adapted finishes around here. I would highly recommend checking it out as it will only take like 5 minutes or less to look at/read. You can check it out here: https://imgur.com/a/8TsQr I will post the other cover stories as they come up later as well.

Also since I know that you reacted to the second opening again when that started, beware of the third opening. It has a major spoiler in it. It starts on episode 116 and I would skip it until episode 132. Anytime after that episode will be a good time to react to it again.
