I love and hate yukako at the same time

JoJo’s very influences throughout mangas and animes alike. Yukako is the first yandere and inspired the whole yandere genre.

So Koichi has unlocked the stand Echoes Act 1. The power being the "sound of words". And Act 2 who has the power being "meaning of words". As for the Cell thing. Koichi and he's stand's designs are based a bit from Dragon Ball Z. With the Koichi's hair changes being a reference to super saiyan forms and Echoe's forms being a nod to the character Cell. As for Yukako. She inspired a lot of her character archetype. For example Palm Siberia from Hunter x Hunter.

In this episode it had the EDM version of the OP

Cell saga was animated 1992-1993 and came to the US in the late 2000s. Part 4 manga was between 1992-1995. So it is likely Araki watched DBZ and came up with the idea of Echo's watching DBZ airing on TV. Dragonball was serialized between 1984 and 1995. So yeah, guessing the Cell part of the Manga came out before Araki made Echos, but it's hard to find a perfect timeline.

Yukako is one of my favorite characters in this show, lowkey best girl. I can't tell you why though, that'd be spoilers.

Koichi can also be known as Polnareff 2.0. XD

Koichi's a good kid. He wouldn't kill anyone, and he wouldn't let anyone die. Not unless they were extremely villainous, but even then he'd probably choose to turn them in to the police or Speedwagon than kill, if possible. Yukako is just misguided, she's not evil. She has room for growth. And at the end of that second episode you can see a spark of that growth. It was far from a bad thing, dude. Her feelings went beyond possession and obsession to actual pure love, which allowed her to accept the rejection and come to terms with giving him space, so that he can be free and live a happy life. She decided his happiness was more important, and that she'll be content just fantasizing.
