This was a slightly different translation, but when Zeff calls Sanji "Little Brat" he says "Chibi Nasu" which literally translates to "Lil' Eggplant". Sanji calls Zeff "Geezer" but he's saying "Kuso Jiji" which is "Shitty Old Man". Despite how it sounds, for Zeff and Sanji, they use these nicknames affectionately.

In the manga, the implication is that Zeff ate his leg. The producers of the anime thought this was too dark so they changed it so that he removed it to free himself from the wrecked ship.

Zeff and Sanji May not be related by blood but that doesn't ruin their bonds of family, Zeff is the best father Sanji could ever wish for. After all Zeff took Sanji in after that backstory and raised him as his own

in the manga for one piece, zeff cuts off and eats his own leg and I believe that will always be what truly happened on that island

I can understand surviving without food somewhat, but what about water...? Also in the manga it's a bit different with a certain thing but I'm not gonna say in case you read.
