One of my favourite things in One Piece is the character development that Zoro has this early on. He goes from "I'll kill you if you get in between me and my dream" to "well if I can't achieve my dream, how can I help luffy achieve his" and it comes across so well in this episode

Krieg has heard of Zeff because when Zeff was a pirate captain he was famous. Zeff (and everyone else from East Blue) only knows of Krieg by reputation.

Fun fact for all non-german people: The word "Krieg" from Don Krieg is a german word, which means "war" in English. Made him even more intimidating, when I read it the first time since he is the first really strong enemy the crew has to face.

Sometimes, people will hype future arcs so much but I think its better to expect nothing cause sometimes things doesn't go as good as we expected because we have different opinions. So better not expect much and when it surpasses your expectations a good reaction will come. Sorry for the english
