The effects are quite apparent.

Things are starting to get a little out of hand. 

So you decide to very gently try, & broach the subject while on a brisk morning walk through the park. But it seems like Mandy still hasn’t fully come to grips with what her pumpkin spice latte addiction has been doing to her. 

As you walk (& she waddles) along the park path, she thinks calling her affinity an ‘addiction’ is overblown. A little hyperbolic on your part. She just happens to like their pumpkin spice lattes. An awful lot. She insists she could totally she stop. Any time she wanted in fact! Then again, she has always been a terrible liar. Her insistence isn’t convincing. Even before she guzzles another huge sip. You swear you can almost see her get the slightest bit rounder with every gulp.

At the very least, despite your attempt at an intervention, she doesn’t seem too bothered by what’s becoming of her. Sure, she’s substantially rounder now since the middle of summer. Heftier too. But as long as she has another cup in her hand, she hardly seems to mind. A little huffing & puffing aside, her expression remains serene. Almost placated. Even as she scrambles to justify that ‘it’s only coffee. What’s the harm?’

And for you, there is something maybe a little intriguing, watching her puff up like this. Watching her grow. Filling out her bulky autumn sweaters more & more with each cup. She bristles a bit with the crisp breeze now, finally wearing one she seems to have gotten just a little too big for. Her round body sways with each step now. Her pace having grown the slightest bit slower. It’s almost as if her red hair, coupled with all this pumpkin inside her, is slowly making her the living embodiment of Fall.

Still, out of concern, you try to remind yourself why you invited her out on this walk in the first place. You don’t want her to keep lapping up her pumpkin drinks, remember? Because if you don’t act fast, Mandy won’t be capable of going on many more walks for much longer.

Suppose you could maybe look into rolling her though.

Just a fun, seasonal pic to get folks in the mood. Leaves are changing by me so it felt apt. I started this as a quick attempt to incorporate an AI generated background. It was just ’City Park in Autumn‘ with a couple of other details like ‘morning light’ & ‘fall foliage.’

Love her denial, though I might’ve made her expression in the drawing a little too calm for her backtracking. Still I think she turned out pretty cute. And I don’t know about you I’m a sucker for cozy sweaters on top of swollen figures.

More pumpkin tinted versions available as well as ones without the ’god rays,’ text,  glasses, & BGs, in case you’re into any of that. I also experimented with doing this a little smaller than I usually work, kind of meeting the AI background halfway, but still allowing me room to work & use a lotta layers. That said these are full res, but not as big as I have done in the past.
